For this final project, I contacted jazz-trained/ and fellow music producer Caleb Durham to collaborate with instrumental production for the song Waifu (Anime Bae). It was inspired by a conversation Caleb and I had about my wife's dislike of anime, but as a consolation prize, she watches Asian dramas with me. While this song is similar to what I have done with most of my songs before using Spanish, I was determined to force myself to study and practice Japanese by including phrases. After starting the initial production, I contacted HipHop artist KwaShonne for a feature but ultimately decided to record the song solo.
